In 2015 the creator of Snoopy Air was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Two months later, he took his first flight at KMYF and a love for aviation became concrete. Due to having to go through three years of chemotherapy, he was unable to solo, until he learned about the Sport Pilot Certificate, which only required a valid drivers license as a medical. This led to the purchase of a 1946 Aeronca Chief named "Snoopy", and the start of what would become "Snoopy Air".
After finishing treatments at the beginning of 2019, the creator of Snoopy Air had over 300 hours logged in Snoopy, and was then able to obtain a Class 1 medical, as well as his Private and Commercial Certificates. Thanks to his tailwheel time, the creator was hired by a banner towing company In New Jersey to fly a 180hp Super Cub in 2020. The company then trusted him with starting a new banner towing operation in California. In 2021, the creator of Snoopy Air was hired by a Regional Airline flying a CRJ200. A short year and a half later, he was hired by Mainline Carrier where he fly's as a First Officer on Boeing 737s.
Our passion at Snoopy Air is everything to do with flying. When we are not flying, you can find us at KMYF in Snoopy's hanger being the epitome of airport bums. Aviation is much more than just a hobby, but a way of life for us at Snoopy Air, and we hope to share that passion with you in your journey!
